In the project pictured, infiltration through poorly consolidated concrete had been entering the system for over 20 years. The base of the wetwell was approximately 10 feet below the stream elevation only 30 feet from the station.

Approximately 5 gallons per minute of constant flow was measured, that’s roughly 2.5 million gallons per year that had to be pumped and treated. The repair paid for itself in 18 months. Tax dollars well spent.
